Hawaiian Bangle Bracelet Sizing
The best way to measure your size would be with a bangle sizer. You may contact us if you would like us to send you a bracelet sizer, or you may download a printable sizer by clicking here. Be sure to print at full size. You could also use a bangle sizer from any local jewelry store or you can simply take a measuring tape and size your hand on your own.
Measuring yourself for a bracelet
Using the same motion you would in putting on a bracelet, position your hand so that your thumb finger touches the middle of your pinky finger.
You can now take the measuring tape and, starting at your thumb knuckle, wrap the measuring tape around the back of your hand, along the remaining knuckles. Continue wrapping the measuring tape around the front of your hand, until it lines up with the point at which you started. Make sure that the measuring tape is snug, but not so tight that you will not be able to fit the bangle around the widest point of your hand. The number, in inches, should be your appropriate bangle size. This will give you a better idea of what size is needed when placing your order. Also, keep in mind that all of our Hawaiian heirloom bangles are made in oval shape so it would be easier to take on and off. However, we can also make them in a standard circle shape, at your request.
How Do I Measure the Size of a Bracelet That I Already Own?
If you already own a Hawaiian bangle bracelet, you can take a measurement around the outside of the bracelet in inches, then subtract 1/4″ to accommodate for the thickness of the bangle.

A jeweler can measure a current ring that you own on a ring mandrel. We do not recommend taking a diameter or circumference measurement because even a slight error will make a drastic difference in size.

Hawaiian Necklace Sizing
It is quite difficult to measure yourself for an appropriate necklace length, as everyone’s body is different. The gauge and style of the chain, as well as the added weight of any pendants or slides, may also affect where the chain rests when worn. Pictured, we have an approximation of where each length that we carry might look on an average person.
Measuring Yourself For a Necklace
Without trying on necklaces of varying length until you find one you prefer, the second best way is to use a piece of string. Tie the string at varying lengths until you find the best fit for you. Mark that length, untie the string, and measure the entire span in inches to find your ideal fit. Keep in mind that a chain will be slightly heavier than string, especially with the weight of a pendant on it, and that may affect where the chain rests when worn.
How Do I Measure the Size of a Necklace That I Already Own?
This is best done with a necklace of the length you prefer. When choosing your preferred necklace to measure, keep in mind that a chain will be slightly heavier with the weight of a pendant on it. This may affect where the chain rests when worn. After removing any pendants from your selection, lay it on a level surface and pull the two ends away from one another so that the chain is somewhat taut and as straight as possible. Then measure from one side to the other. This measurement should be fairly close to the measurement you should request.
