Snow on Mauna Kea

Snow surfing only in Hawaii!

It’s a winter wonderland on the Big Island.  Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa got a fresh blanket of snow.  At the 10,000 foot elevation, forecasters said they saw between six inches to a foot of snow.  Locals rushed up with their snowboards and boogie boards, built snowmen and had snowball fights.  It’s a very popular site to see trucks with loads of snow driving back into town.  Hawaii is a great place to surf snow one hour and surf waves the next.  Fun in the sun with a different twist.  ALOHA!
