Koa Wood Manta Ray Pendant

The ancient Hawaiian name for mantas is “hahalua”. Some believe the entomology of this name, “two breaths”, as a reference to the mantas movement between both the ocean world, and when they leap above water in ours. These mysterious creatures are also mentioned in the Kumulipo, the ancient Hawaiian Chant of Creation.
