Frequently Asked Questions

“Where does your gold come from?”
Our gold comes from a company called Metalor located in Attleboro, Massachusetts. This area historically has been deemed reputable because of the production of honorary military metals including the more famous metal of honor and purple heart. All military metals must be made in America. Metalor is a certified refinery. This means they monitor their supply chain of gold only from reputable mines that practice healthy mining conditions. Conditions measured are the people, the environmental impact, and accountable trade when brought to market. We at Honolulu Jewelry Company share these same values and conduct business which leaves a positive footprint.

“Does the black enamel come off?”
Many pieces last over 30 years and never have a problem, but sometimes the enamel will come off. We offer a lifetime guarantee on the enameling if it ever wears off.

“How do I get the correct size for a Hawaiian bangle bracelet?”
Place your thumb against the midway up the length of your pinky and ring finger, so that your hand is slightly cupped. Take a soft measuring tape and measure the circumference of your hand behind the knuckles. The measurement should be in inches. Note, most average woman wear a bangle size of “8”.

“Can the Hawaiian rings and bracelets be resized?”
Yes. We will resize and refinish the design, however this can be costly once the items are completed. We charge $70.00 for this process and an additional cost for any gold or materials needed (sizing up). Contact customer support for a quote or other options.

“What is platinum silver?”
Our platinum silver jewelry contains a 3 1/2% mixture of platinum, which increases hardness and resists tarnish without any plating. This is quickly becoming our most popular alternative to gold.
